As we mentioned .:here:. earlier, Olafur's latest work under the moniker of Stafrænn Hákon is ready for aural consumption. It is called 'Sanitas', released by Darla Records in the US and Happy Prince in Asia.
Now we also have a release date for Iceland by one of our favorite labels, Kimi Records. Or at least a release month. Estimates say 23rd of April, but don't blame us if you catch a cold waiting in a queue outside your record shop of choice. It's an estimate.
Well. We've ranted about how much we like Sanitas. We've put up streams of 2 of the songs .:here:.. Now it's high time to give you your own copy of Temporality to enjoy wherever and whenever you see fit.

Tonight the Icelandic music business celebrates the music achievements of 2009 on television with live music, awards and impressive hairdos. Yep, it's time for The 2010 Icelandic Music Awards.
You might remember that this time last yearToggiand Bjarki snatched the 'Best Song' award, but tonight we are keeping all available body parts crossed for Einar Tönsberg, orEberg. And we have a good reason to, as he is nominated for 3 important awards.
Feldberg's'Don't be a stranger' is nominated for Pop album of the Year, 'Dreamin' is nominated for Song of the Year, and Einar himself is nominated as Composer of the Year for his work with Feldberg and Eberg. Not too shabby.
From your frequent visits here, you should know who Bjarki is by now. What you might not know about him is that at night he dresses up in fancy vintage synthesizers and becomes Northern Lights Orchestra, or NLO.
Bjarki just finished an NLO remix of Worm Is Green's single March On! for an EP containing the original song, 2 b-sides and remixes by The Esoteric Gender, Futuregrapher and Roger O'Donnell (Roger played keyboards in a little known but promising band called The Cure) and of course NLO.

Well, we've heard it, and guess what? It's beautiful. 12 well written songs with great texture and catchy melodies. It's more poppy than we expected. In a good way.
That's all very nice and dandy, but now, of course you want proof. And here it is, 2 of the new songs ready for your listening pleasure. Eberg is in the studio with Rósa, finishing the last song of a new Feldbergalbum. We can assure you it's going to be great. (We should know, it's being made in the next room)

Arnar's band, Leaves, have been following up their new album We Are Shadows, we went to see them live at NASA, and they put on a great show. So great, that we would actually like to share it with you here; here is the live version of 'Dragonflies', one of our favorite songs from the album:
Well, as some of you might know, it turned out to be a very popular single, which has now been released in 2 languages.
It didn't take long for Ebergand vocalist Rosa to join forces again, this time for a Nova Telecom spot, directed By Arni Jonsson for Republikand agency Dagur&Steini.
The inevitable happened. Feldberg was born.
The pressure to release the song as a single soon became enormous, and when this is written 'Don't be a stranger' has stayed for 4 weeks on the top 10 list, with now real signs of being on it's way out anytime soon.
Check out the commercial, and you will understand why. Very catchy indeed. This is one of the many happy collaborations where a commercial gives a song it's wings so that it can take off itself.

Leaves have a release date for their upcoming album 'We are Shadows' in Iceland, the 11th of May. 'We are Shadows' is their 3rd studio album, and it's a great album. If you are lucky enough to live in Iceland, you can see them play their new material at Sódóma Reykjavík tomorrow night.
