Karl Olgeirsson (Kalli for his friends and best paying clients) is a man of many talents. Besides being a multi-instrumentalist and a vocalist, he is a cunning arranger with many huge orchestral and choral projects on his CV as well as being a successful record producer, having received platinum and gold records for his work. He has been nominated to Griman, the Icelandic Tony-awards, for his works in the theater. He has also worked as music director and a co-host in prime time TV shows. But first and foremost he regards himself a composer. His impressive CV includes works for names like Björk, Sissel Kikjebo, Eivor, Petula Clark, Kate Havnevik, and many of the most successful artists in Iceland. His musical styles range from acoustic left field music through electronic to adult contemporary pop, from jazz to overblown orchestral music. Often all within the same year. You will understand, as you go through Kalli's playlist, that nothing frightens him. Which makes him highly suitable for commercial work. All music on Kalli's playlist is composed, arranged and produced by Kalli, except 'Dream of a day - Produced by Bardi, 'Smells like teen spirit' - song rather obviously by Nirvana and 'Urban Hymn' is by Kalli and Pétur Ben.
